Private consultation - Chinese and Taoist medicine / naturopathy

Insurance receipts are available for consultations.

About the consultation

  • Naturopathy and Chinese medicine are for everyone, of all ages and conditions. The ultimate goal of these approaches is to restore health balance as quickly as possible, with personalized care and advice.
  • A variety of treatments can be offered, depending on the situation. The first step is an energetic assessment to better understand the issues and needs. The approach is holistic, helping the person to regain his or her full energetic potential, relax the body, unblock blockages and improve the circulation of energy, body fluids and blood.
  • Dietary approaches (Chinese, energetic and natural) can be suggested, as well as trace element, vitamin and herbal supplements.

It is possible to receive Chi Nei Tsang®, which is a Taoist practice, has several facets:

  • Basically, it accesses the organs via the belly for better relaxation and energy activation.
  • In the case of muscular tension, I use Tok Sen for a deeper effect.
  • For more complex situations, requiring the removal of internal wind disturbances... the beginning of the belly treatment combined with certain points on the body. For example, for restless legs, headaches and other sources of major illness.

Approach

Chinese medicine is a complete approach in itself, taking into account all the body's functions. It also combines emotions and thoughts.

The principles used in Chinese medicine are as follows:

  • energy assessment,
  • digitopuncture, or acupressure - the use of fingers on acupuncture points or on
  • tendinomuscular meridians,
  • herbs,
  • suction cups,
  • moxas,
  • meridian massage,
  • dietary advice,
  • emotional work, etc.

As for the Taoist healing approach, it has many similarities in the general principles of the elements Metal-Water-Wood-Fire-Earth. However, we start from the belly to assess which organs are tense, less functional or blocked. We also use tools such as guashas and Tok sen. This helps various aspects, including the nervous, muscular and organ systems.

Naturopathy will also be used as needed for vitamins, minerals and trace elements, food sources, supplements, etc.

Areas of care

Stress, emotions, digestion, sleep, pain, hormonal imbalance, cancer, autoimmune disease, exhaustion, allergies, respiratory problems, etc.

How a consultation session works

  • An initial session serves as a comprehensive energy assessment. If time permits, a short treatment can be included. If necessary, a follow-up proposal will be discussed according to your situation.
  • One session This involves a short question-and-answer period, pulse-taking and tongue analysis. The energetic assessment will enable us to decide on the best tools to use. The treatment takes place on the massage table, with light clothing to access the acupuncture points. Jeans are not recommended. If access to the abdomen is necessary, it will often be directly on the skin. Cupping can also be used if necessary.
  • Following a session in Chinese and/or Taoist medicine, a 24-hour period will need to be a little quieter to allow the whole body movement to adjust. If you are receiving a Chi Nei Tsang® treatment, you should drink more water afterwards.
  • You can expect to experience a rebalancing, which may involve more energy, a need to rest, better elimination, or the disappearance or lessening of symptoms. For example, if you have a problem that dates back several years, you should expect at least 3 sessions to experience a change.

Ideally, prevention should be based on the seasons, of which there are five. You will be informed of the periods when we propose follow-up treatments.
